  7. Survey Sample Responses • 18 responses • All firms have at least 15 employees • 13 out of 18 firms have at least 100 employees

  8. 16 of 18 Firms Hired This Year • 8 firms hired 25 or more new employees • All of these firms had at least 25 employees • Vacancies Still Available • 11 firms reported having employment vacancies at the present time • 1 reported having vacancies greater than 25

Training Widely Provided • 11 out of 18 respondents provided some type of external or on-the-job training • Firms ranged between 10 and 160 hours • Average was 43 hours per year • Trainings were most widely provided for: First-line supervisors • Positions require most training hours: • Draftsman(avg. 160 hrs/year) • Plumber (avg. 80 hrs/year)
