  1. About the Network The Practice Management Network is a partnership organisation that has been set up and run by practice managers, for practice managers. The Network is committed to uniting practice managers, sharing information and good practice, supporting professional development and influencing policy. Membership is free to all managers working in general practice in Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland – over 3,000 managers and 159 local networks have become part of the Practice Management Network (est. December 2010). “…Practice managers connected across the country, sharing, debating and influencing. This Network is run by managers, for managers and is a great resource for new and experienced managers alike.”

  5. Web site statistics The Practice Management Network Web site has had over 31,000 hits from more than 16,000 visitors in 96 countries across Europe, North and South America, Australia, Asia and the Middle East (est. December 2010).

  8. The Supplier Database The Network’s free Supplier Database is a directory of specialist suppliers and products from the field of general practice and primary care. The Database offers suppliers the opportunity to reach members of the UK’s largest network for managers in general practice; and enables our members to access products, services and systems to help them manage and meet their demand.

  9. The Practipedia The Practipedia is the Network’s one-stop-shop for practice management resources.

  10. Influencing The Influencing page on the Practice Management Web site contains information on surveys, focus groups, consultations and events taking place. The Department of Health and other major organisations regularly seek input from practice managers. This section of the site offers our members the opportunity to influence national policy in relevant areas.

  11. Local Networks This section of the Practice Management Web site hosts an interactive networking tool, allowing our members to locate and contact regional groups across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

  12. PMN News The News section of the Practice Management Network Web site has feeds from Management in Practice and BBC News and includes the biggest stories in Practice Management today.
