Integrative capability is the capacity to merge new knowledge about the impact of possibilities with deep accumulated knowledge of the complex existing capability of the organization (Iansiti and Clark, 1994).

Receptivity

Innovation capability is defined as the skills and knowledge needed to effectively absorb, master, and improve existing technologies, and to create new ones (Lall, 1992).

Absorptive capability

Receptivity is firm’s ability to actually absorb skills from its partner (Hamel, 1991).

Integrative capability

Absorptive capacity is firm’s ability to identify, assimilate and exploit information (knowledge) from the environment (Cohen and Levinthal, 1990).
