  5. Ballad Stanza • A stanza with 4 lines • A rhythm pattern of 4343 (stressed syllables per line) • A rhyme scheme of ABCB (2nd and 4th lines rhyme The wind so cold blew south and north, And blew onto the floor. Quoth our goodman to our goodwife, “Get up and bar the door.”
