  2. Maternity package • Je balíček pro matku a novorozence (It is a package for mother and newborn infant) • Obdrží ho každá matka v porodnici ve Finsku zdarma (Every Finnish mother gets it after giving birth for free)

  3. Maternity package • Jde o velkou krabici s mnoha potřebnými věcmi, zejména pro novorozence a kojence do jednoho roku. (It is a big box with many useful things, especially for newborn infant up to 1 year of age). • Každé nově narozené dítě v rodině dostane od státu svoji krabici s věcmi. (Every newborn infant in the family gets his/her own box from the state).

  4. History of maternity grant • Od roku 1949 je mateřský příspěvek poskytován všem matkám (In 1949, the maternity grant was made available to all mothers) • Poskytování převzala Kela v roce 1994, dříve poskytovala balíček Národní rada pro zdraví. (Administration of the scheme was taken over by Kela in 1994. Previously, maternity packages had been provided by the National Board of Social Welfare (now the National Institute for Health and Welfare) and the Government Purchasing Centre.

  5. History of maternity grant • Téměř všechny prvorodičky si vybírají mateřský balíček. Jen třetina nastávajících matek raději přijímá dávku v hotovosti €140 (Nearly all first-time mothers now choose the maternity package. Only a third of all expecting mothers opt for the €140 cash benefit). • Finský mateřský balíček je již několik desetiletí jediný svého druhu na světě. (The Finnish maternity package has for several decades been the only one of its kind worldwide).

  6. History of maternity grant • Balíček je možno si zakoupit za €274.15 plus doprava. Asi 400 balíčků je prodáno každý rok, hlavně zákazníkům mimo Finsko. (The package can also be purchased separately at a price of €274.15 plus shipping. Around 400 packages are sold yearly, mainly to customers outside Finland). • Každý rok Kela udělí 60,000 mateřských příspěvků, z toho 40,000 ve formě mateřského balíčku. (Each year, Kela awards around 60,000 maternity grants, of which about 40,000 are provided in the form of a maternity package).

  20. Poznámka: je třeba si uvědomit rozdílnost v počtu obyvatel a důvody podpory porodnosti ve Finsku. Počet obyvatel ve Finsku je přibližně 5 350 000 a v ČR 10 532 770 (informace Wikipedie, 2011). (It is necessary to consider difference in the number of inhabitants and reasons for the support of natality in Finland. Number of inhabitants in Finland is app. 5,350,000 and CZ 10,532,770 (Wikipedia, 2011).
