  12. TRUST Vraagstelling • Heeft transcervicale septumtranssectie bij vrouwen met herhaalde miskraam (≥ 2) een positief effect op de zwangerschapsuitkomsten.

  13. TRUST Study design • Multi centre randomised controlled trial

  14. TRUST Onderzoekspopulatie • Vrouwen met een herhaalde miskraam (≥ 2) voor 20 weken amenorroe en een uterus septus • Septumlengte van minstens ¼ van de lengte van het cavum uteri, gemeten bij X-HSG • Actieve kinderwens

  15. TRUST Methoden • Vrouwen met herhaalde miskraam en een verdenking op een uterus septus bij echoscopie • X-HSG en hysteroscopie ter bevestiging en meting van het septum

  17. TRUST Methoden • Resultaten X-HSG en hysteroscopie worden meebeoordeeld door een regionaal trial centre • Randomisatie m.b.v. een webbased randomisatie systeem.

  20. TRUST Uitkomstmaten • Primaire uitkomstmaat: • “Live birth rate” • Secundaire uitkomstmaten: • Complicaties van hysteroscopische septumtranssectie • Zwangerschapscomplicaties ( abruptio, partus praematurus, uterus ruptuur, miskramen, modus partus)

  21. TRUST Statistische analyse • Intention to treat • De “live birth rates” in beide groepen zullen worden vergeleken • Relatieve risico’s en 95% CI zullen berekend worden voor de relevante uitkomstmaten

  22. TRUST Sample size • Verbetering van de “live birth rate” van 35% voor naar 70% na hysteroscopischeseptumtranssectie • Alpha-error 5%, Beta-error 20% • Twee groepen van 31 vrouwen om dit verschil aan te tonen • 68 vrouwen moeten gerandomiseerd worden
