MRE Components • MRE XXIX • Planning delivery orders for additional MRE quantity • Need revised delivery from assemblers • Will adjust requirement to account for MRE XXXVIII residual inventory • Delivery issues still need to be addressed • Planning to execute final option year if warranted • Preparing for the solicitation of next generation of MRE awards

Humanitarian Daily Ration(HDR) • Developed to support humanitarian relief feeding efforts in war-torn and natural disaster areas • Provides basic nutritional requirements to prevent the starvation of a population • Provides food for one person for one day • Current Sponsor • Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) • Humanitarian Assistance, Disaster Relief & Mine Action

  8. HDR Continued • DSCA manages and stores inventory • DLA manages the HDR procurement • DSCA does not plan on purchasing any HDRs for FY 2009 • DSCA anticipates purchasing HDRs for CY 2009

First Strike Ration (FSR) • On Hand East Coast 25,618 bx DDNV West Coast 12,812 bx DDJC • Option year one invoked on 03/17/2009 • Last option year under the current contract. • Maximum quantity of 96,000 cs has been ordered. • Option year one deliveries • 32,000 case increments to be delivered on: • 06/30/2009 • 09/30/2009 • 12/30/2009
