  1. DEVELOPMENT OF DATA BASE AND CADASTRE FOR RES

  2. CONTEKST • Estimated RES potential abot 3,8Mtoe. • MHE -0,4Mtoe – Cadaster 1987 (856 locations 449MW) • Geotermal 0,2 Mtoe – in the existing wells – real potential at least 5times higher • Wind – 0,19 Mtoe – estimates based on measurements at 10m heights - Spanish donation – 3 sets of measurments equipment • Energy Efficiency Agency developed a data base

  3. STRATEGIC AND LEGAL GROUNDS • The Serbian Energy Sector Development Strategy until the year 2015, - third priority wider utilization of RES • Ratification of the Energy Community Treaty – obligations to implement EU directives that promote utilization of RES • The Serbian Energy Strategy Implementation Program for the period 2007 till 2012 has identified barriers for increased use of RES in Serbia

  4. PROJECT GOALS The project has to goal • Precisely define RES potential • Promote RES utilization and attract investments • Provide information on RES potential for both • Government – policy making • Municipalities – energy and spacial planing, • Investors

  5. Specific project goals • Assesment of RES potential (SHPP, Wind, Geotermal) • Systematization of data on RES potentail - cadaster • Data base • Show data in GIS technology • Web site on RES in Serbia • Defining further steps in order to improve situation in this area

  6. EXPECTED PROJECT RESULTS: • Revised SHPP potential – renewed cadaster • Assesed potential of geothermal and wind energy in Serbia • Prepared cadastre with RES potential and projects locations and data base showen in GIS. • Developed web site on RES • Defined next steps to be undertaken to further improve the area

  7. PLANNED ACTIVITIES • Analysis of existing data base and data available on RES potnetial • Renewal of the existing cadastre and data base on SHPP • Assesment of geothermal energy potential and its recording in the cadastre • Purchase of wind measurement equipment and wind potential assesment – jon data with those collected through Spanis donation. • Preparation of website on RES in Serbia • Analysis of the further activities in the field

  8. POTENTIONAL DONORS - ASSERTATION • Possible donors: IPA or UNDP(GEF) • FUNDS FOR PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION • 2.500.000,00€ • Other related projects – • Budget RS 2.000.000 € • NIP 60.000,00 € Wind + 2.500.000,00 € Geotermal • PERIOD OF REALIZATION • The project should begin as soon as possible *The project could be implemented as through several projects – each dealing with potential assesment for a different RES, but all should be loaded to the same data base.
