  2. Similarities • Takes place during the Puritan era • Early colonization of America • Puritans have a very plain lifestyle compared to the people of Barbados. • The Puritans did not get along with the Quakers

  3. Similarities Continued • The puritans were a very religious group of people. • They were not tolerant of other religions. • They highly believed in the concept of witchcraft . • Though the Puritans came from different countries they assimilated into one religion.

  4. Differences • Hannah Tupper and Kit did not get executed for being together • Kit was let off of all charges, normally once accused they were never forgiven. • During early colonization most Quakers and puritans were not allowed to associate with one another • Kit and Hannah are lucky to have not been burnt at the stake.
