  6. ASSETS: • Campus Push • Responsive Students • Decision-makers rely on data • CHALLENGES: • Overworked, relatively new Directors • Assessment = GOTCHA! • Resources (i.e. lack of FT Assessment Professional in student affairs)

  7. ENGAGING STAKEHOLDERS: • Include ALL staff in professional development activities • Proactively report to Executives & External Partners (Managing Up) • Ensure students see connection between data and action

  8. JUSTIFYING RESOURCES: • Hunger & Homelessness Grant • MPA Career Advisor • Academic Advising / Counseling Service Reorganization

  9. TAKE AWAYS: • It wasn’t as hard as we thought it would be • We were already doing assessment! We just needed to get organized. • Anticipate emotional responses
