  2. Equipment Refurb Process • Each piece of equipment Bob Weber, Inc. sells is thoroughly refurbished, tested, and cleaned before shipment. When shipped, your equipment will be in excellent cosmetic and operational condition

  3. Processor Refurb • Processors require more time to refurbish than any other piece of equipment, due to the extensive cleaning involved • Follows an overview of the refurbishing of an Agfa Rapiline 28 Processor

  4. Processor Condition • Processors are usually received in poor to fair condition. (See “before” picture to left) • BWI devotes hours of cleaning and testing to make sure the processor you receive exceeds your expectations! (see “after” picture at end of presentation)

  5. Stripping Processor • Processors are stripped to the frame so all components can be thoroughly cleaned

  6. Cleaning the tanks • Tanks usually have stains or encrusted chemistry like the processor to the right • BWI fills tanks with special processor cleaning solution to remove chemistry residue and most stains • Tanks are then scrubbed clean

  7. Cleaning Racks • Racks are completely disassembled • Each individual gear and roller is soaked in cleaning solution and scrubbed clean • Any worn rollers or broken gears are replaced • Cleaned racks are then reasssembled

  9. Testing Processor • After cleaning, BWI tests the processor electronics and all motors, pumps, heating elements, and sensors to ensure proper operation • Any defective parts are replaced

  10. Finishing Testing • Processor is reassembled • Film is run through processor to verify again proper operation of all components • Online processors are connected to the imagesetter, and these systems are tested extensively for film jams or communication problems between imagesetter and processor

  11. Final Cleaning and Painting • Each processor has one more final cleaning • Processor is painted before shipment
