Rotary whole hearted presence in Mumbai, Thane, New Bombay & all other areas of District 3140. • Let the flame of Rotary kindle the heart of every Mumbaikar. • Let us publicize the services of Rotary by displaying the service projects at every nook & corner. • Rotary has to be permanent in the psyche of people of Mumbai.

  3. Birth of New Concept of Service 12 took place.Director InchargeKALPANA MUNSHI

  4. 14 Major projects are identified. • Each project shall be lead by one Jt. Secretary & a group of 12 clubs from the same area. • All the 14 projects shall be executed between 1st September 2012 to 12.12.12 i.e. 12th Dec, 2012 every week. • Each week shall be allotted to one project exclusively.

District Grant of US $ 10,000 shall be provided for each project. • Each Group of 12 clubs shall match these US $ 10000 making a total sum of US $ 20000. • District Shall further grant US $ 1500 for PR purpose for each project. • Each Group of 12 clubs shall match this with US $ 500 making a total sum of US $ 2000 for publicity of the project. For each project funds shall be available as follows : - • $10000 (District Grant) + $ 10000 (Matching by clubs) + $ 1500 (District PR funds) + $ 500 (Matching by 12 clubs) = $ 22000 Total Amount.

  9. There are 4 District Co – Directors for Service 12.

  10. Each Co – Director shall be supporting and providing guidance to 3 Jt. Secretaries & their Groups for their respective projects. • Directors & Co – Directors shall be informed about the progress of the project by Jt. Secretary at all times. • Jt. Secretary may invite the Director / Co – Director for the major meetings for their participation & guidance. • Jt. Secretary shall be totally responsible for the execution of the project.

Project 1 : CITY CIVIC RYLA • GuideLines – • NSS units, Rotractors, Municipal Chairs, Corporators shall be involved. • A Seminar will be organised for 2 days. • Lecture shall carry out on leadership, civic problems of Mumbai, Save Electricity, Water Conservation, Zero garbage, No spitting, Vermiculture and other topics of this nature to bring awareness on civic sense. • Human Chain shall be formed with the participation of Interactors, Rotractors, Inner Wheel Clubs, Schools, Colleges, RCC members & Rotarians. • Street Plays shall be organized on civic subjects. • Concluding session a State Dignitary can be invited. • Pamphlets, Playcards on civic subjects shall be distributed. PUBLICITY – Through Hoarding, street plays, pamphlets, Radio, T.V. & Sign Boards, Buses, Bus Stops etc.

  14. Project 2 : 10000 CATARACT SURGERIES Guidelines – • Identify the beneficiaries by publicising in News papers.Display Banners • The surgeries can be performed with the services of Borivli Eye Bank, Talwada Eye Center, Lotus Hospital of Juhu.

  16. Project 3 : 50 PEDIATRIC CARDIAC SURGERIES. Guidelines – Special Grant through RI Director Shekhar Mehta is available to the tune of Rs. 40,000/- per surgery through a trust • There are donors available who are ready to support against Rotary Certification. • Vinay Somani of Karmayog will help to identify the Donors. • The cost of each operation is Rs. 80,000/-.

Project 4 : ADOPTION OF LAKE OF THANE • Guidelines – • Beautification program can be planned. • Plan a Jogging park, children play ground. • Area for senior citizen where they can be provided morning tea & Newspaper. • Organize Yoga Class, Laughter groups. In rotation Thane clubs may take over the Respective responsibilities to maintain the lake. Publicity – Sign Boards, Hoardings.

Project 5 : CRICKET MATCH FOR THE BLIND • Guidelines – • Match is organized on National level where the Teams participate from different states. • Identify the Ground and the place for their stay. • As the participants are visually impaired special care has to be provided. • Shri Arun M. Bharaskar is the President of the Blind Welfare Organisation who himself is Blind. Contact No. 09822900717. • He will provide the budget & the details. • Rotractors can be involved in large numbers. Publicity – Hoardings, T.V. , Radio, Newspapers.

Project 6: 12.12.12 FELLOWSHIP MELTING POT • Guidelines – • Plan international fellowship by inviting international Groups. • International cuisine with the participation of consulates can be organised. • International performances and fancy dress can add colour to this fellowship. Publicity – Radio, Hoarding, T.V. Newspapers.

Project 7 : CARNIVAL FOR THE DIFFERENTLY ABLED. • Guidelines – • Identify the venue for the carnival • Approach all the organization of the Differently Abled for participation. • Stalls should be installed where they can give line demonstrations of their talent, such as mouth & foot paintings, drawing competition can be organized. • On going entertainment program by the Differently Abled , Rotractors and Interactors can be organized. • Food stalls can be given to Inner wheel clubs and Rotract clubs to run. • Sports & Games can be organized. Publicity – Hoarding, T.V., Newspapers.

Project 8 : FLAME OF EDUCATION-ROTARY PARADE & CARNIVAL • Guidelines - • 2 Days PrograM should be organized. • The Parade will start from Nariman Point and shall conclude at Chowpatty • All the hotels & Tourism should be involved to sponsor tableaux on Rotary subjects, Civic Subjects, Culture & heritage subjects. • Rotractors, interators, Innerwheel, Rotary Clubs should be involved in large number in this parade. • The parade will end at chowpatty where the entertainment program and street plays can be organised. • 10000 students should be given loan scholarship on this occasion. • Past President of India Mr. AP. Kalam can be invited for this distribution. Publicity – T.V., Radio, Hoarding, Newpaper.

Project 9 : VOCATIONAL & COMMUNITY EXCELLENCE AWARDS • Guidelines – • 6 Awards shall be given to the deserving candidates in any field of vocational / community service. • This event shall be an on going program every year. • The selection committee shall be formed to choose the candidate. Publicity – Newspaper, Hoardings, T.V. Live show, Radio.

  30. Project 10 : INTERNAITONAL MICRO CREDIT SEMINAR • Guidelines – • Loan shall be provided to 1000 women from self help groups to make them independent.

Project 11 : ROTARY MARATHON TERRY FOX RUN • Guidelines – • Terry fox Run is organized in aid of Cancer. • Rotractors, Interactors, Inner wheel Members, Rotary Clubs, RCCs should be involved to participate. • At the concluding venue there shall be some performance. • Snacks will be served. • Invite some dignitaries. Publicity – Hoarding, T.V., Radio, Newspaper, Press Conference.

  33. Project 12 : CAREER GUIDANCE • Guidelines – • 2 days seminar will be organized. • Maximum 10,000 children should participate. • Different faculty members should be invited from different vocations to enlighten the students. Publicity – Hoardings, Newspapers, Pamphlets, T.V., Radio.

  35. Project 13 : ENTERPREUNEURSHIP SEMINAR • Guidelines – • A 3 days seminar should be organised for small and medium enterprises. • Disbursement of loans of 5 Crs. is planned. • Rtn Suresh Babu shall be incharge for the same. Publicity – Radio, T.V., Hoardings, Newspapers.

  36. Project 14 : ROTARY MELA • Guidelines – • Identify the venue. • Food stalls, Games, entertainment shall be in full swing. • Rotractors, Innerwheel members, Rotarians will participate Publicity – Newspapers, Hoardings, T.V., Radio, Pamphlets.

  39. BRAND Ambassador for Service 12 shall be Identified. Names proposed are Aamir Khan & his son Rtr. Junaid, Kareena Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit & Rithik Roshan.

  40. we need your help for MEDIA publicity. We need • Minimum1000 Hoardings all over Mumbai, Thane, New Bombay & other public places. • Newspapers Advertisements. Publicity on Buses / Bus Stops / Flights / Bulletins. We may consider a PR Agency also. You may identify the sponsorers
