What is Workforce Development Funding • Funding for adult social care employers in Essex, Southend and Thurrock available from ECTP • Reclaim costs incurred through staff completing social care learning • Funding from the Department of Health & Social Care and disbursed by Skills for Care • Training must have been completed between 01.01.19 and 31.03.20 • Funding is claimed after the training is completed • Direct costs of training or wage replacement costs, coaching and mentoring costs, external venue costs for training.

What qualifications can I claim? • List of funded qualifications and learning programmes on Skills for Care website • https://www.skillsforcare.org.uk/Documents/Learning-and-development/Funding/Workforce-Development-Fund/2019-20/WDF-funded-qualifications-and-learning-programmes-2019-20.pdf • RQF level 2(£600), 3(£800) and 4 (£1,050) • QCF level 5 – only this year (£1500) no more level 2 or 3 QCF • Enhanced funding per learner for adult care worker and lead worker apprenticeship standards • Funding for end point assessment of apprenticeship standard

Contd. • Additional support for registered managers and service managers for completion of leadership and management qualifications and learning programmes. • New CPD programmes being developed and available from October 2019 including Culture, Managing Self, and Performance Management • Lead to Succeed (5 day course) £500 • Well Led (4/5 day course) £500 • Employers can only claim the advertised WDF contribution per qualification and must maintain records to evidence the costs of funding claims made

  5. Eligibility • Must be adult social care provider • Completion of ASC-WDS Adult Social Care Workforce Data Set (former NMDS.SC) post 1st April 2019 • Learning must have been completed between 1st January 2019 and 31st March 2020

  6. What evidence is required? • A copy of the learner’s certificate which includes the advertised criteria and which has been issued between 01.01.19 and 31.03.20 • Completion of a single sheet accompanying form – Employers Claim Submission Form • Payment is dependent upon confirmation of eligibility and evidence by Skills for Care
