  3. Town of Marana • Located Northwest of the City of Tucson • Encompasses 75 square miles • Fastest growing town • Most of the agriculture is in the northern area

  4. Town Development • 10,000 lots are about to be used to build houses • “Toilet to tap” is about to start unless they can get larger CAP allocation

  5. Marana’s Water • “Water is Power, one of the most essential items of life” • Water consumption rates increased by 700% last year and are going to double this year • Marana uses about 900 acre feet of water a year

  6. Marana’s Water Resources • Effluent (flowing in the Santa Cruz River) • Central Arizona Project (CAP) • Central Arizona Groundwater Replenishment District (CAGWRD) • Managed Recharge

  7.
