  3. What can APPs do? • Conduct patient assessments • Order and interpret drug therapy-related tests • Refer patients to other providers • Medication prescribing • Hormonal contraceptives • Nicotine replacement • Travel medicines • Immunizations under statewide protocol

  4. Requirements • APP certification • Education requirements have been established • Final certification regulation is still pending • Notify primary care providers about any medications prescribed or immunizations administered
