  3. HORN RIVER DAIRY PROJECT (R75 Million) • Delayed implementation • Negotiations currently underway with China

  4. HERBS AND MEDICINAL PLANTS(R 10 Million) • Feasibility & Business Plan Revision • Awaiting trial results

  5. AMAJUBA TANNERY (R50 Million) • Site has been obtained in Dannhauser for the establishment of the Tannery • ADM currently appointing consultants for the EIA • Application for training has been submitted to DED • Est. Job Creation 35 Permanent

  6. AMAJUBA MEAT DEBONING PLANT (R 40 million) • Equity Partner Negotiations • Project will include feedlot through Partnership • Currently negotiating with financiers • Est. Job Creation – 65 Permanent

  7. REGIONAL SOYA/MAIZE PROJECT • 2000 Ha of soya has been planted and funded by Staplotrade PTY Ltd • Soya is currently being harvested

  8. REGIONAL MARKET/LOGISTICS HUB • Consultants appointed to conduct feasibility study and business plan

  9. ADM KENAF, SOYA, MAIZE, BEANS & POTATO TRIALS • Soya results are fair • Maize results are good • Dry beans are fair • Potatoes are fair • Kenaf was not planted

  10. MECHANIZATION(R 17 Million) 5000Ha • Equipment purchased for planting maize and soya • Currently finalising additional equipment for vegtable production

  11. AQUACULTURE & AQUAPONICS • Primary production of fish has commenced • Tunnels currently being established on site

  12. ORCHARD • Implemented • Irrigation layout pending • Will include olives, lemons, oranges, pomegranate & peaches

  13. JEWELRY PROJECT • Complete, mentoring and advise

  14. MUSHROOM PROJECT • Site has been identified • Currently identifying a mentor for the implementation of the project

  15. LED & WATER SYNERGIESIRRIGATION • Feasibility study & BP complete • Irrigation license for 1200Ha pending project implementation • Currently implementing 25 Ha of irrigation

  16. POVERTY ALLEVIATION • ADM has developed a policy and monitoring & evaluation tools for projects • ADM has established a committee • Project implementation is being co-ordinated by the committee

  17. LED SKILLS DEVELOPMENT • 5 year skills development plan has been submitted to the Dept of Labour • Currently waiting for the outcome of the submission

  18. ICT • ADM established an ICT forum to drive the establishment of an incubator. • Feasibility study completed by DED which indicates that we may proceed with the project. • The next step is the preparation of a Business Plan.
