  4. Getting In… • The grades you earn in high school are the most important factor in CSU admission decisions. Your high school grade point average is calculated using your grades in all your college prep a-g classes completed after the 9th grade. • Test scores are required unless you have a grade point average above 3.0 and are a resident of California. • A small percentage of the freshman class may be admitted based on eligibility index and additional characteristics including first generation college status, socioeconomic factors, skills or talents that align with or contribute to special university programs, and evidence of overcoming educational obstacles

  5. Top Majors • Business: They are the home to one of the best business schools in the west, the Sid Craig School of Business. The school is named after a Fresno State business school alumni named Sid Craig. If his name doesn't sound familiar it may be because he named his business after his wife "Jenny" to start a little company that everybody in the nation knows as Jenny Craig Inc. • Rehabilitation Counseling • Agriculture Science: They have one of the best agriculture colleges in the West (Jordan College of Agriculture Science and Technology) so good in fact that just last year (2009) the University received the largest donation ever seen by the CSU system totaling over 29 Million dollars just for the School of Agriculture. • Nursing • Kinesiology

  6. Agriculture • 1,011 acre University Farm, which is considered one of the most modern and best equipped agricultural facilities in the West • Fresno State operates the first university-based commercial winery in the United States.

  7. Sports • 18 sports teams • The Bulldogs have earned two NCAA team national championships: one baseball title in 2008 and one softball title in 1998.

  8. White American 34.8% • Hispanic American 33.7% • Hispanic-serving institution (HSI) - Designed as a program to increase the number of college students and graduates from underserved and rural Hispanic families.
