  4. AACSB is often thought of as an external governing body. In reality, AACSB is: • A self-governingorganization, comprised of and led by our member schools • A vehicle for business schools (administrators, faculty, staff) to elevate the quality of management education.

  5. The mission of AACSB International is to advance quality management education worldwide through accreditation and thought leadership.

AACSB’s Collaborative Network • 1133 business schools in 74 countries/territories • 570 AACSB accredited schools in 33 countries 170 accounting accredited programs in 4 countries • 57 corporate/non-profit/public sector members • Estimated 19 billion USD combined budget • More than 50,000 faculty, more than 2 million students, and ≈19 billion USD combined budget as of 31 August 2009
