Activin A Impact on Fibroblast and PDL Genes in HPDLC-3O and -3Q

Study on gene expression of fibroblast and PDL markers in Activin A-treated dental ligament cells, highlighting upregulation. Quantitative RT-PCR analysis shows significant fold increase. Data supports earlier findings.

Expression of a-SMA, COL1, COL3, FBN1, POSTN,PLAP1, SCX, and TGF-b1 in HPDLC-3O, derived from a premolar of 20-year-old female and -3Q, derived from a premolar of a 21-year-old female (B) treated with 100 ng/ml Activin A was examined by quantitative RT-PCR analysis. Untreated cells were used as a control. The expression levels of these genes were normalized against -actin expression, and the results are shown as the fold-increase of the control. *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01. These results support the findings presented in Fig. 5. (A) ** ** ** ** mRNA expression (/b-actin) ** ** ** **
