  4. Required Materials • Notebook and folder or heaps of notebook paper and a binder • Pencil and pen • Calculator • Recommended TI-30 or TI-84 • Book • Geometry for Enjoyment and Challenge

  5. Course Information • 1st semester • Proofs • 2nd semester • Focus is on formulas and incorporating algebra with geometry

  6. 1st Semester Intro to proofs Complementary and Supplementary angles Perpendicular and parallel lines Triangles Quadrilaterals Indirect Proofs 2nd Semester Slope Polygons Similarity Ratio and Proportion Circles Distance and Midpoint Area Volume Intro to Trig Topics Covered

  7. Expectations • Homework EVERY night • Assignment guide given at the beginning of each chapter • Approximately 2 quizzes per chapter • Review packet before EVERY test

  8. Grades • Grading Scale • All grades can be accessed online via the Conant website parent access • Grades are updated one to two times per week

  9. What’s Next? • Most students will move on to M317 Algebra II • Students with a D or F for their semester grades will be recommended for M314 a slower pace Algebra II
