  1. My Africa: Virtual Field Trip We are going to take a field trip to Africa, a virtual one, without leaving our classroom! This is a map of Africa. It has several bodies of water surrounding it, including the South Atlantic Ocean. It is near the largest continent, Asia. Let’s explore My Africa.

  2. It is fun to see animals in the zoo. Even better is seeing animals living in their own habitat. A habitat is the location where something lives.   3. Elephants live in parts of South Africa and roam in Herds in large areas in Africa. They are very gentle and very smart. Click to hear the Elephant

ABC http://video.nationalgeographic.com/video/kids/weird-wacky-kids/funny-videos-kids/african-animal-alphabet-kids/ We are going to watch a fun video called “The African Alphabet.” We will learn the alphabet and sing the fun song with it. Then we are going to choose a letter and make an animal with that same first letter in its name.

  5. Some people live in the undeveloped areas in Africa. They are usually very close and live, work and play within the community everyday. There are also large developed cities in Africa, one of them being Cairo, the capital of Egypt with over 7.9 million people.

  7. Some of them make necklaces and other items to sell at the markets in their local town. We are going to make a necklace to resemble one from the pictures above.

  8. Many animals make their home in Africa. Zebras and giraffe are two species that live there.
