  7. Whence the doubt…? and unnecessary medicalisation…

  8. The Economics of Birth … also applies to doctors.

  9. In the Netherlands, the number of hospital births has risen from 60% to 80% during the last decade. (PRN 2008)

  10. The need for epidurals has doubled to 8,1% over the last decade in the Netherlands. (PRN 2008)

  11. Yet one fourth of all Dutch women is NOT happy with her birthing experience…TNO 2009
