Business: Manufacture, sell, and service equipment to fabricate semiconductor chips, flat panel displays and solar photovoltaic panels. Revenue: $9B in 2006 Employees: 14K employees in 11 countries HQ: Santa Clara; Celebrating 40th Anniversary Core Value: Making a positive social contribution

  4. Community Affairs at Applied Materials Core Value: Making a positive social contribution in areas where our employees work and live. Grants: Education (65%), Civic Development (25%), Arts (10%). Target 25% of all grantmaking toward environmental and sustainability projects. Employee Programs: Employee Giving & Matching, Volunteer Time Grant, Holiday Food Drive. Funding Sources: Corporate Giving & Applied Materials Foundation
