Introduction and refresher • Good practice to review grant making approach every 3-5 years (ACF) • 2007: first formal internal review of grant making and developed a 2 year strategy to standardise grant making • 6 month and annual review • In next 3 years build on good work with an outward looking approach

Social Impact - Big impact – local level - promoting it • Annual Awards ceremony • Research briefs: across area and themes in new style fund report • Sense of belonging: ’nurture’ a sense of belonging by embedding ourselves in the lives of Northamptonshire communities • Measuring the impact: 10 year service review • Community Development

  6. Good Practice – smart admin – effective panels – research new trends • Research best practice: ACF and network • Standardised reports to all Donors • Online applications: go ‘live’ July • Young philanthropy • Grants Advisors • Web resources • Donor-led grant making

  7. Flexible services – donor care – group support • Development of donor guide to grant services: resource guide for potential and actual donors • Workshops, training and one to one support: programme of community development support for groups to build fundraising and evaluation skills

Creativity – modern – smart – keeping ‘the edge’ • Creative use of ICT and digital media • Developing new products for market trends: placing self as centre for philanthropy • Team building and office environment • Keeping an ‘edge’ – THE Grant making and Donor care experts for Northamptonshire

  9. Community leadership – insight – influence - change • Roll-out findings of recession action survey • Strategic representation: exploring where we need to have a presence • Vital signs: Based on Canadian Community Foundation model of community wellbeing indicators
