  1. Tumblr DO NOW Become a character from OMAM. Read the following Tumblrwriting prompt. In character, respond to Nietzsche’s questions. Your ideas should align with the character’s actions, behaviors, thoughts, and voice.

  2. Add some style… Add one example of a parallel sentence for effect. Add one example of assonance. Add one example of metaphor.

  3. Assignment Read all three poems in packet: Nowlan, Hughes, and Frost. Write a first draft theme. Then, color mark the poem using the following directions: Color One- diction that describe tones or attitudes in the poem, Color Two-Literary Devices, Color Three – Syntactical Structures, Color Four – Imagery Then, write a second draft theme of the poem.

  4. DO NOW cont. Which writer’s tool best emphasizes the meaning of the quote? Answer the questions about yourself. Add or insert neatly an asyndeton and understatement in your response. Label the writer’s tools.

  5. Add an allusion Allude to, or refer, to someone in history who would share your attitudes toward style. Why would this person think about style like you think about it?

  6. Tumblr Prompt Create analogies for 4-5 days of the week. What type of person would each day be? Make sure you compare the day to a person and include specific details such dress, accessories, age, gender, race, culture, religion, hobbies, interests, intelligence, achievement, values, beliefs, style, attitude, behaviors, speech patterns/habits, likes, relationships, etc.
