  2. Biologyreally Molecular? Abstract After the development of quantum mechanics, almost a century ago, the molecular description ofnature was conceptually solved and the possibility of its description at this level very much increased.Of course one of the main interests was to be able to describe biology at this level. This interestfinally lead to the development of Molecular Biology, a discipline in itself but not really based onthe molecular physico-chemical description of biological system. In parallel with the development ofMolecular Biology the development of Molecular Physics permitted to advance in the description ofthe physical-chemistry of biological systems. But, is it really useful for understanding biology? In thistalk an example of how this description can be constructed and some examples of its application tobiological cases will be presented.
