  4. Text from the Poster 2 Do you remember John’s record log? He was split beTWIXt himself! Irresponsible John had left him in a CRUNCH, but MR. GOODJOHN, rescued him! There were SNICKERS(GOOD & PLENTY) when Diana led a playDOUGHy O.W.A. creating WHATCHAMACALITSfrom beyond the MILKY WAY. Like the 3 MUSKATEERSwe STARBURST into 4 genre writing, and soon it was time for a FAST BREAK.

  6. Text from Poster 3 Mike’s T.I.W gave us a whole lot of REISENS for using peer writing groups. Then he asked the $ 100,000 GRAND question, the one that makes us feel DUM-DUM and drives us NUTS. How do we avoid revision DUDS ? And, how do we help students (from JUNIOR high to college) do more than add DOTS to their i’s to revise? We were GOBSTOPPED; but soon a SYMPHONY of voices ...

  8. Text from Poster 4 …rose as we workshopped ways to give peers PIECES (even MOUNDS) of feedback to peers. With ideas for NOW & LATER, feeling like RED HOT SMARTIES, we MAMBA’d to SKOR a quick lunch. Speaker Greg Jay raised topics that were WHOPPERS (cultural identity & color based prejudice & injustice.)

Many of us claimed to have been total AIRHEADS about white privilege and institutionalized discrimination since ZERO time had been spent talking at home & at school about them. Now we can fight the injustice we see. The SWEETTART truth is we can CHEWS….
