  4. What am I? • Hint: Water vapor in the air; very high in the summer here in the south

  5. Use your chart! • I measure wind SPEED. • I have cups that spin. • Mrs. Harbuck LOVES to say my name!

  6. What part of the cycle am I? • Water cools in the air • Clouds are formed

  7. Use your chart! • I measure rain AMOUNT. • Mrs. Harbuck uses her dog’s bowl . • You can also use a ruler in order to measure snow amounts – IT WORKS THE SAME WAY!

  8. What part of the cycle am I? • I happen when the sun heats the air. • Liquid water turns into water vapor when I occur.

  9. What am I? • I am formed when water vapor condenses. • I am called cirrus, cumulus, and stratus. • If I sit on the ground, I am called fog.

  11. What am I? • I come in high and low forms. • If I am high, the weather is beautiful! • If I am low, the weather will be stormy!

  19. What am I? • The weather around me stays the same. • I am marked on a weather map by a red and blue line with both half circles and triangles. • In order for me to change, the air pressure on one side of me has to get stronger.

  20. Weather vs. Climate • One is for today, one is over long periods of time. • One can change quickly, one has to change over years or even decades.

  21. What am I? • I bring warmer weather. • If I move too quickly, I bring storms. • I USUALLY move more slowly than my cold cousin.

  22. What am I? • I surround the Earth. • I protect the Earth from the Sun’s harmful rays. • I include the air that you breathe.

  23. What am I? • I am hot and cold. • I am measured with a thermometer. • When you are sick, I am called a fever and I am HIGH. • Your body’s is 98.6 degrees F.
