African serval • The coat is pale yellow with black markings ,either of large spots that tend to merge into long thick stripes on the neck and back. • They live in parts of south-western Africa. • A gestation is 73 days with 1-5 kittens. • They eat rodents,birds,repitles,fish,frogs,and insects. • Their threats are leopards,dogs,and men. • The name Serval is derived from a Portuguese word meaning ‘wolf-dear.’ • Barbary Serval thought to now be extinct. Three-banded armadillo • Armadillos can rollinto a ball. • They can be up to 20 years old. • Armadillos only have one baby at a time • They can walk and roll when they are first born • Armadillos shell color is blackish brown. • Three banded armadillos can have more than three bands. • They are weaned at 72 days old. Eastern screech-owl • The habitat of a Eastern Screech-Owl is below 1500 meters of elevation. • They lay up to 2 to 7 eggs usually 3 or 4 are laid. • The Eastern Screech- Owl is a bird found in the Rocky Mountains. Allie shatto
