IIBC White Papers Subcommittee: Background/Purpose • PURPOSE: To evaluate and recommend new initiatives that the IIBC should undertake through the production and dissemination of white papers in the Intelligent Buildings market • FOCUS: “Hot button” issues and analysis in the Intelligent Buildings market that could add value to IIBC members and their organizations • COMPOSITION: • 20+ participants • Research Consultancies • Chair: Kyle McNamara, Verizon Enterprise Solutions • PROCESS: • ANYONE may suggest new white paper topics at any time to the subcommittee • Subcommittee selects the most viable topics for development • Finished papers are available FREE TO THE PUBLIC via the CABA public research library 1

IIBC White Papers Subcommittee: Next Steps • Finalize concept and working group for ROI / Life Cycle Costing Analysis paper • Goal to quantify benefits of implementing fully converged technology in building automation, security & IT infrastructure • Solicit additional white paper topics through annual CABA member survey • Schedule next subcommittee meeting in May 2013 • Recruit new subcommittee members and research consultancies 3
