Achievement • Be on task • Complete all assignments • Do your best Responsibility • Turn in all assignments on time • Accept consequences for your actions • Follow directions Respect • Value other’s opinions • Hands and feet to yourself • One person speaks at a time Organization • Use your agenda • Bring all needed materials • Be on time

  5. Sign In • All visitors and volunteers must sign in and wear an identification badge/sticker. • Safety is our number one priority!

  6. Logging Volunteer Hours • Please be sure to keep track of your hours and log them into the binder in the front office.

  7. Attendance • Teachers rely on you to be a key player in the instructional program. • Please call the school so we can notify the teacher if you are unable to volunteer on your scheduled day.

  8. Personal Belongings • Check with the teacher for the best place to store your belongings

  9. Phone Calls • Cell phones should be on vibrate during regular school hours.

  10. Respecting Instructional Time • When you come in to volunteer, this is not the time to have a meeting with the teacher to discuss your child’s progress. • If you need to meet with a teacher, please set up a different time that is convenient for both of you. • Please respect the teacher’s planning time.

  11. Discipline • Discipline of all students is to be done by the WMS staff. • If you are working with a student or a small group and difficulty arises, let the teacher know immediately. • Always remember to compliment students with positive behavior.

  12. Emergencies • To report an emergency please call the office on any school phone by dialing

  13. Fire Drills • Everyone must leave the building immediately and exit with the nearest class. No one can re-enter the building until administration gives the “all clear.”

  14. Lockdown • In the event of a lockdown, everyone must remain within the building until clearance has been given to leave. • We are reponsible for every indidividual within the school during a lockdown and safety during this time is crucial.

  15. Universal Precautions • In the event of a student injury… • Contact the nearest teacher. • Contact the office

  16. Allergies • Health Overview • Basic First Aid Issues • Anaphylaxix • Field Trips and Emergencies

  17. Personal Health Concerns • Each volunteer must fill out an emergency contact form. • All information will be held in confidence

  18. Confidentiality • What you see and hear at school stays within the confines of the school. • Contact the teacher or an administrator with any concern that you may have regarding a student or situation. • Please complete the Confidentiality Agreement, print it, and return it to the front office.

  19. Reporting Suspected Child Abuse or Neglect • Address your concerns with the teacher and/or school administrator.
