Short lifetime H2O2 • H2O2 is important as a sink of OH which plays an important role in atmosphere chemistry (OH reacts with CO and CH4) • Lifetime OH about 10 seconds Lifetime H2O2 about 1 day • H2O2 is created by O3 • OH + O3 HO2 + O2 • HO2 + HO2H2O2 + O2
Retrieval can be performed in troposphere – stratosphere regions but not in mesosphere

Comparison retrieved - Slimcat • ORBIT 2081 (from north pole to south pole, day time) • Good agreement retrieved and Slimcat model for the Max at 10 mb in eq. regions and minimum below • We don’t see the equatorial peak at 200 mb and Slimcat peak is larger
