  9. Executive Committee The Executive Committee will consist of eight faculty elected from the full members of the Faculty of Neuroscience. These include the Chair of the Neuroscience Faculty and the Chairs/co-Chairs of the six standing committees. These Executive Committee members will be elected with a specific responsibility to chair (or co-chair) a specific standing committee (see below, Membership, Recruiting, Graduate Program, Undergraduate Program, Finance or Seminar Committees). In addition, the current President of the local chapter of the Society for Neuroscience and one graduate student elected by neuroscience graduate students will serve as voting members. The Committee will advise the Chair of the Faculty of Neuroscience concerning the direction and administration of the TAMIN, the associated Faculty of Neuroscience, and the graduate/undergraduate programs

  11. Undergraduate Program Committee a.The Undergraduate Program Committee will include a Chair and 4 additional members elected by the Faculty of Neuroscience. Because the undergraduate program must be administered through TAMU, the chair and committee members must be from the TAMU faculty. The Committee Chair will serve on the Executive Committee of the Faculty of Neuroscience. b.The Committee will make recommendations concerning degree requirements, scheduling and staffing relevant to the undergraduateneuroscience curriculum. In addition, it will make recommendations concerning development and approval of new courses; will monitor and evaluate courses, using student and faculty feedback; and will recommend modification or deletion of courses. c. The Committee will oversee the undergraduate minor and develop the undergraduate curriculum with the goal of establishing a neuroscience major at TAMU

  12. Finance Committee a.The Finance Committee will include a Chair and 4 additional members elected by the Faculty of Neuroscience. These individuals should be representative of the major areas of neuroscience at TAMU and the HSC. The Committee Chair will serve on the Executive Committee of the Faculty of Neuroscience. b.The Finance Committee will review the TAMIN budget and advise the Chair and Executive Committee on all financial matters. The committee will also seek to identify new sources of funding, through university, federal, and private sectors, both to foster research and support graduate training.
