  3. The Use of Multiple Intelligences Theory To Teach Reading and Writing Autistic Somali Students Said Ismail Abdullahi, Xawaadle villige, 150 street, (mr.said.abdulahi@gmail.com) G05 SHL1013 Professional English (14December 2013) Timeline & Implementation Strategy Background & Urgency of the Problem Proposed Poster Design • Autism students are suffering from loneliness • Autism students did not get full rights from the government • Autism students can learn different ways from others Week 1 - Design a poster Week 2 - Give the poster to facilitators to revise the whole poster Week 3 – Beginning the Program(All participants will acquire to read instructions which are on the tentative letter ) Week 4 – Examine students to estimate their strength of learning 3 ways of Teaching Autistic Students 2 hours a day 2 1 3 Statement of the Problem & Proposal In three weeks, I will create A3 poster information with Five pictures in Somali and English that shows 3 ways of teaching autistic students 2 hours a day (Abbott, 2013) for Somali government to help students who have autism problem (McKenzie, 1993) therefore, Autistic students will have an ability to engage with environment which is surrounding to them, and to overcome this problem along within four weeks (Gorman,2008). Projected Challenges & Solutions Careless: Somali government ignored autistic students in terms of education, it seems to them simple thing but its disadvantage is bigger then its appearance. Solution: Asking NHOs to help Autistic students by using two factors of multiple intelligence theory which are logic smart and intrapersonal, those two factors help us to come up with this idea. Assumptions of the Study • Each picture display on poster can help students to improve their ability of thinking . • Walter McKenzie theory of Multiple intelligence(Walter McKenzie, 1993) can help students. INITIATING - Examine possibilities of success of this proposal DEFINING - Describe outcomes of this programme DRAFTING - Create A3 poster PLANNING - Ask members to carry on the program - Divide position for facilitators -Plan the palace that is accommodated this program IMPLEMENTING – Making some questions for the participants - Making an announcement and Date TABULATING – Arranging the pictures and the data ANALYZING – Organizing data concisely for participants DISCUSSION – Estimate strength of learning that students perfumed in week four “Multiple Intelligences Theory posits that there are seven ways people understand in the world and they are Linguistic, Logical-Mathematical, Visual-Spatial, Body-Kinesthetic, Musical-Rhythmic, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal” (McKenzie, 1993). Research Questions Theoretical Application • In week 1, the creating of a poster stages, words and pictures of a poster must be presented near each other for the students to learn and follow instructions • Simple instruction can activate students to provide the posters in Week 3 and to start the program in Week 4 • Making simple questions which examine the students whether they understand steps or not • Can Autistic students from different backgrounds understand examples shown in pictures with Somali and English text? • Can posters guide students in maintaining specific standards of thinking? • Can a poster display in each picture a type of autism? About the Writer Said Ismail is a Banking and Finance Scholar of Albukhary International University. His experience with Autism and resulting high number of autistic students encouraged his interest in this project proposal. FOR MORE INFORMATION, CONTACT Insert explanatory text here if any. 28. Summary / Abstract This research proposal is planned to inform the autism issue among Somali students. This thought is to suggest some potential solutions to reduce autism among Somali students. I used a poster to expose my ideas which is on A3-sized poster. This research proposal will have functioned for four weeks. Students will have concerned to take a part in the programme and they are required to answer a question at the end of each session to estimate their ability of learning, and they will receive some consultation from facilitators to guide the students on the time line for learning which are on a poster to help them along the way. The expected consequence of this proposal is that participants are able to learn some ways of teaching autism students for fourweeks. The outcomes may be practicable for other people who have countered like this problem. FIRST SLIDE LAST SLIDE END SHOW PREVIOUS SLIDE LAST VIEWED NEXT SLIDE
