  2. Responsibility • as a prosecutor your biggest responsibility is to put the bad guys behind bars • Research details behind the case • And convince the jury the defendant is the one who committed the crime

  3. requirements • To become a prosecutor every person must receive a bachelor’s degree in any major and receive a law degree from any law school. • To enroll in law school every student must take a test called the LSAT (law school acceptance test) • Any law school graduate must take their state Bar examination to receive certification from the state to be a lawyer.

  4. Speacial training • A lot of colleges offer law school the most prestigious is Harvard being an ivy league school. • Sanford university is a private law school. • One of the closest law schools to us is the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

  5. Salary • Every lawyer is paid on a pay scale by percentiles. • 10th percentile-$45,000 • 50th percentile-$75,000 • 75th percentile-$100,000 • 90th percentile-$150,000 • If that doesn’t make you want to become a lawyer I don’t know what will!

Benefits • One benefit to being a prosecutor is getting the satisfaction of knowing you are cleaning up the streets by putting a criminal behind bars. • Prosecutors also receive: • Annual leave/sick leave • 12 Holidays • Health, dental, vision, legal, and disability insurance • Retirement plan • Flexible work hours

  7. Job growth Need for lawyers are growing The national job growth for prosecutors is expected to grow 13% between now and 2018.
