  15. Conclusions • Young Roma from Timisoara faces a very difficult situation in terms of employment 85% of young people who participated in this study said they did not have a job at the moment. • Their implication in the formal economy is small, being more present in the informal economy.

  16. young Roma people's expectations of is very narrow, 2-3 days; • Education level does not allow them to occupy even unskilled work; • most of them deal with seasonal work, and women raising children; • no self-confidence; • Although they believe that education can improve lives, their models are very controversial businessmen

  17. Recommendations • Results and conclusions of research conducted among young Roma from Timisoara lead to the following recommendations:

  18. Conducting information campaign for employers to inform and awareness of employment of Roma minority youth in general and Roma in particular. • Continue and develop programs consisting "second chance" for young adults who left school early, including programs aimed explicitly Roma children;

  19. Roma children should be encouraged and stimulated to attend secondary and higher education; • Evaluation of labor market needs so as to identify areas accessible to Roma, given their current training; • Development of projects to provide employment services tailored to the situation and specific needs of young people;

  20. Development of social economy projects that can provide innovative solutions tailored to the needs of youth; • Developing entrepreneurship among young Roma; • Development of projects in partnership with Roma NGOs, to provide personalized and integrated services, guidance, counseling and discipleship. • Development of social enterprise as solution insertion transition to formal labor market;

  21. According to a study by the World Bank, tax benefits of integration of Roma into the labor market are estimated at approximately € 175 million annually in the country.
