How many Islands are their in Scotland and which are the most inhabited! • There are over 790 islands in Scotland but only 136 are inhabited. • Lewis and Harris are the most inhabited Lewis has 18,489  people living on the island. • Eilean, Donnan, Sanda and Shuna A are the least inhabited. This is Eilean

The Young Pretender! • One of the most famous Scottish princes in history was Bonnie Prince Charlie. • Bonnie Prince Charlie’s real name was Charles Edward Louis John Casimir Silvester Severino Maria Stuart. • Bonnie Prince Charlie and his family had been exiled to France. • His family wanted him to regain the British throne. • Bonnie Prince Charlie had an army. Most of his army got killed and wounded in the battle of Culloden but Charles managed escape to the highlands. • The British government wanted him dead or alive because he was a threat. • Charles disguised himself as Flora McDonald a maid and hid in the Isle of Skye.
