  3. Fingerprint Matchup • Using the packet of rap sheets given, compare the fingerprint from the scene to each of the suspects. • Record your match up on the data sheet and cite specific fingerprint characteristics that match.

  4. Handwriting Analysis • Using the packet of rap sheets given, compare the handwriting from the “suicide note” to the writing sample from each of the suspects. • Record your match up on the data sheet and cite letters that match up.

  9. Fiber Conclusion • Draw all of your sketches on the data sheet. • Match up the fiber found at the scene to the type of cloth and look to see which of the suspects were wearing that fabric.

  14. Hair Sample Conclusions • Draw all of your sketches on the data sheet. • Match up the hair found at the scene to the hair samples from each of the suspects and the victim.

  15. Blood Samples Identify each persons blood type and record your results on the data sheet.

  16. Final Conclusions & Report • Based on your findings, write your investigator’s report being sure to include: • Who did it? (murderer) • Why did they do it? (motive) • Evidence to convict the suspect • Approximate time of the murder
