  2. Snowdrops pushing up through the dead leaves

  3. Spring bulbs are flowering daffodils crocus

  4. Bluebells in the woods

  5. Buds are beginning to open catkins on a willow tree

  6. Birds are building nests You can see birds flying around with small twigs in their beaks. It takes a lot of time and effort to build a nest. This bird is collecting soft material to line the inside of its nest. Then the female bird will lay her eggs there.

  7. Baby animals are being born As the weather gets warmer lots of baby animals are born. This means that they will have plenty to eat and it won’t be too cold for them as they grow bigger and stronger.

  8. Lambs will soon be in the fields

  9. Fields are ready for planting

  10. Weather is changeable In the Springtime the weather can be dry and warm and then cold or wet. It can be hard deciding what to wear. Sometimes you can go out without a coat but it’s safer to take a jacket with you!

  11. Days are getting longer The days are getting longer. It’s lighter when you get up and when you go to bed.

  12. Frogs in the pond Frogs are laying their eggs in the pond. This is called spawn. Soon you will see tadpoles in the pond.
