Pengertian Community Work • Community work adalah “the process of assisting ordinary people to improve their own communities by undertaking collective actions.” (Twelvetrees, 1991). • Community work adalah suatu proses dalam membantu masyarakat untuk meningkatkan diri mereka sendiri melalui suatu aktivitas-aktivitas kolektif.

  5. Menurut Johnson (1984), Community work merupakan spesialisasi atau setting praktek pekerjaan sosial yang bersifat makro (macro practice). Community work didefinisikan sebagai metode yang memungkinkan orang dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidupnya serta mampu memperbesar pengaruhnya terhadap proses-proses yang mempengaruhi kehidupannya (AMA, 1993).
