Biotech Club Overview. Fall 2013, First Semester. Mission Statement. To introduce the field of biotechnology to other students, share and discuss ideas, and research specific areas of biotech. Our main objective is to create a forum in which there is a constant flow of ideas between members.

  2. Mission Statement • To introduce the field of biotechnology to other students, share and discuss ideas, and research specific areas of biotech. • Our main objective is to create a forum in which there is a constant flow of ideas between members.

  3. What is Biotech? • “[T]he art of utilizing living organisms and their products for the production of food, drink, medicine or for other benefits to the human race, or other animal species” • In other words, biotech is the use of living things and their components to improve people’s lives
