  2. starfish • A marine echinoderm with 5 or more radiating arms. • The underside of the arms bear tubed feet for locomotion and in predatory species to open mollusks shells. • Class asteroidea.

  3. shark • A long bodied cheifly marine fish with a cartiligous skeleton, a prominent dorsal fin and tooth-like scales. • Moth sharks are predatory but the biggest sharks feed on plankton. • Class esubmabranchii.

  4. whale • A very large marine mammal with a stream lined hairless body, a horizontal tail fin and a blow hole on the top of its head. • Some whales have baleen and some have teeth.

  5. crab • A crustacian with a broad carpace, stocked eyes and 5 pairs of legs. • The first pair of legs are pincers. Crabs are abundant on many shores. • Some crabs live on land.
