What’s New in NAS? • Increased responsibilities for annual reporting to the ACGME (WebADS) • Increased focus on annual surveys of residents and faculty by the ACGME • Increased focus on board performance • Formalization of evaluation of your residents and program (CCC, PEC & APE) • Increased focus on safety & QI (CLER)
What’s New in NAS, continued? • Less frequent site visits! • No more PIFs! For programs in good standing: • No more Internal Reviews • Increased freedom to innovate
NAS Timeline • Phase I Programs began Milestones reporting for NAS on July 1, 2013. • Phase II Programs will begin Milestones reporting for NAS on July 1, 2014. • About 40 remaining Subspecialties will have their Milestones posted by Summer 2014.
