We Are Saved By Grace • Ephesians 2:4-9 • This grace requires faith on our part v.8,9 • Titus 3:4-7 • God showed His kindness and love for us • We did not receive through our good deeds • We are saved because of His mercy • We are saved through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit

  3. Our Response Titus 2:11-14 • God’s grace also requires us to: • Deny ungodliness • Deny worldly lusts • Live soberly, righteously, and godly • Patiently waiting in hope • Be zealous of good works • God’s grace teaches us to repent Romans 2:4

  4. Romans 5:6-8 • Jesus did what we could not do for ourselves • God gives us grace we do not deserve • God did this because He loves us Our Response Romans 10:8-17

  5. Romans 10:8-17 • The saving word must be in our hearts and mouths v.8 (belief and confession v.9-10) • It must be preached v.14 • We must first hear it v.17 Romans 10:9-10 • Beliefis an internal assent • Confessionis external assent • Results are salvation and righteousness

  6. Acts 2:36-38 • They heard the truth about Jesus • It pierced their hearts • They asked, “What shall we do?” Acts 2:38 • Repent is an internalcommitment • Be baptized is an external commitment • The results are remission of sins and gift of the Holy Spirit
