  3. Run-On Sentences • When two sentences run into each other, they are a run-on sentences. Do not use run-on sentences in your writing. • A run-on sentence can be corrected by writing each complete thought as a separate sentence. Remember to use capital letters and end marks correctly. Do not separate the two sentences with a comma. • Always listen for a pause when you read the sentences.
