  1. The importance of recycling organic and domestic waste Biowaste recycling is an important component of organic waste recycling in Scotland. Consider the amount of domestic waste generated by us and how less of it is degraded into simpler components, it is necessary that we recycle all biowaste to make sure we are reducing its amount on earth. The following are some benefits of Recycling of Organic Residues. Energy saving: Recycling biowaste in the facilities in the form of anaerobic digestion produces biogas, similar to the ones emitted in landfills, enabling generation of clean energy. This energy can be used to power devices and be used for simpler processes. It saves resources: Organic matter when converted into compost in the treatment facilities, is then used as an organic fertilizer for agriculture and gardening. Using such recycled products saves money which otherwise would be spent on buying artificial fertilizers and also improves soil quality since it is all natural in composition. It improves the quality of air and water by reducing pollution: Treating organic waste in the recycling facilities avoids odor problems and gas emissions. It also reduces the leaching effect that takes place in landfills and incinerators. This way, no harmful component reaches the air or the water table, ensuring the quality of such resources. Improvement in soil quality: The compost helps to structure the soil with the proper nutrients. In the long run, this improves the structure and fertility of the soil, fulfilling the deficiencies in organic matter. All in all, Farm Waste Recycling improves soil quality and texture.
