This study investigates the ratios of IL-2+ to IFNg+ CD4+ and CD8+ T cells in patients with HIV and their correlation with pp65 and IE-1 antigen responses. The focus is on comparing ratios in HIV-negative individuals versus positive patients, highlighting immune responses involved in HIV infection. We present data on the frequency of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells expressing key cytokines both in the context of HIV-specific antigens (pp65, IE-1, Gag, and Env) and without, providing insights into potential pathways for immune modulation.
