6. UNLIMITED INCOME POTENTIAL How much money can you earn as an Independent Travel Agent? The answer is simple. It’s up to you! The more time and energy you devote to building your business, the more you will earn in return. Having the right clientele base, providing superior client service and becoming an expert in travel will boost your sales tremendously! UNPARRALLED COMMISSION PAYOUT The commission rate is determined by the travel supplier and varies based on the type of travel. Vacation packages have a higher commission than individual hotel & air bookings. The average commission payout is 10%, and can be as high as 20% with certain suppliers. Once suppliers payout your commission, Yolo Travel Group then transfers your commission payout – which is the highest in the travel industry – an unparralled 100% commission payout. Example commission payout showing possible earnings from a $3,500 vacation package (commissionable rate only) with a typical host agency compared to Yolo Travel Group.

7. COMMISSION VS. BOOKING FEES EXAMPLE: Commission payout & booking fees from a $10,000 commissionable vacation package with 10 travelers. Commission is typically paid out from the supplier once your client has completed their trip. This time frame varies by supplier. Some suppliers will payout commission once the trip has been paid in full. Some will payout commission within 30 days after the trip concludes. Agency Booking Fees • Earn additional income through charging upfront booking fees for your time and service. Our standard booking fee scale is as follows: • $35/pp for airfare only • $50-$75/pp for vacation packages • $50-$75/per cabin – Cruise packages only • $100+ for non-commissionable packages • *Non-commissionable packages are booked through suppliers that do not payout travel agent commission. For example, many vacation rental booking sites, i.e. www.vbro.com, do not payout travel agent commission. If we create a package using non-commissionable vendors, we charge a higher booking fee. INCOME BOOSTING TIPS: The more you book, the more you earn. The larger the group, the more your earn!
