  1. CDR planning Requirements/Performance simulations are the most critical part: • Near-final detector layouts for simulation: Sept 2010 • Near-final simulation software tools ready: Sept 2010 • Benchmark list and list of participants in benchmark studies: Aug 2010 • Start production (first iteration): Sept 2010 • Start production (last iteration): Nov 2010 • Performance studies: Oct 2010-Feb 2011 CDR editing schedule: • Overview of contents and work plan for each chapter: Aug 2010 • Deadline for individual chapter text: Mid-Feb 2011 • First full version of Volume 3: end-Feb 2011 • First full version of Volume 1: mid March 2011 • Final deadline mid-April 2011 In addition, lots of work on: physics potential / engineering / integration / magnet systems / cost / R&D plans… LL, weekly meeting, 22/6/2010

  2. CDR editing: next steps • Chapter editors of each chapter shall get in contact. • Devise a rather detailed plan of what the chapter shall contain (including a list of the drawings, tables and plots one would like to include in the document). • Discuss the plan with the main editors and with the main stake-holders (e.g. WG’s) in an iterative process. • Deadline mid-August for each chapter • This will allow to prepare focused work-plans and adjust/allocate resources. Note: main editors Harry, Marcel, Lucie will be at CERN during the period July 6-20. We would like to use this period to make maximum progress with the above process. LL, weekly meeting, 22/6/2010

  3. About “production” Marcel Stanitzki’s estimate: Propose to schedule a meeting on “standard model background” Friday July 9th at 14 hrs About: What is available ?Do’s and don’t’s Full SM background for all processes, piecemeal or extract selections Generators to use Estimates of processing times, and ways to proceed / share the work Proposals for people to invite and for presentations welcome LL, weekly meeting, 22/6/2010
