  2. CAT is the abbreviation of the Common Aptitude Test. CAT is a computer-based exam required for admission in a graduate management program. CAT exam is conducted by the IIMs every year on a rotational basis. CAT exam or common aptitude test is an entry point to 20 IIMs and over 1000+ B-schools in India.

CAT exam has divided into three sections Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, and Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation.The first section contains questions from English Language in the form of Reading Comprehension, Para Jumbles and Misfit Sentences as well as Paragraph Summary. The second section includes questions from non-verbal reasoning including Caselets, Bar Graphs, Tables, Venn Diagrams, Syllogisms, Clocks and Calendars, Seating Arrangements as well as blood relations. The third section consists of questions from elementary mathematics in addition to Complex Numbers, Inequalities, Surds and Indices. The candidate will get one hour for each section overall; it's a three-hour examination. CAT exam is very competitive in nature, almost 2.5 lakh students applied for it every year.

  4. The eligibility criteria for CAT exam is that the candidate should have a bachelor degree with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. There is reservation available for students who have belong to Scheduled Tribe (ST), Scheduled Caste (SC), and Persons with Disability (PWD) or Differently Abled (DA) category must have at least 45% marks.
